We all have mental health. But not all of us live with good mental health.
When we experience good mental health, we can make full use of our abilities, cope with the normal stresses of life and play a full part in our families, workplaces and communities,as well as among friends. Despite our mental health being such an important personal and social resource, the extent of mental health problems in the population means that too many of us are struggling, rather than thriving and reaching our full potential. This is why we must start talking about prevention and mental health.

What are we doing for your welfare?
In 2019, we introduced a new board position - welfare officer. We recognised the growing need for student support and pastoral care within our student community. Many of us have struggled with personal, social or academic problems which inevitably impact our well-being and mental health.
The aim of our new welfare department is to provide students with up to date contact information for mental health professionals in Brno, provide lectures from experts in fields related to well-being and mindfulness, and to act as a friendly support for any student who is experiencing struggles. If you have any suggestions for activities which we could add to our calendar, please get in touch with us.
