Public transport in Brno - DPMB

DPMB - Dopravní podnik města Brna (Brno Public Transport Company offers an extensive network of trams, trolleybuses and buses throughout the city and surrounding area, making it easy to reach your destination. Tickets

Tickets can be purchased from yellow machines at certain stations (they usually only accept coins but some accept contactless credit cards), from Tabak stores, kiosks, bus drivers and official DPMB stores. Prices range from 20 to 30 Kč depending on duration and place of purchase.

We recommend purchasing 3-month (quarterly) transport passes: for students under 26, the price is around 685 Kč (50% off normal price) and you only require the following documentation when you visit the store (click to see list of places to buy your pass):

– Valid ISIC card with the newest renewal sticker (can be obtained from the (International Study Department)
– Confirmation of studies (can also be obtained from the (International Study Department)
– Recent passport sized photo (only required the first time, usually not required for extensions)
– Fill in a form obtained from the DPMB offices (same place you’ll buy your transport pass)
