Another useful app for public transport in Czech Republic is IDOS.
Tickets
One-Time Tickets:
Tickets can be purchased from yellow machines at certain stations (they usually only accept coins but some accept contact-less credit cards), from Tobacco stores, kiosks, bus drivers, official DPMB stores, yellow machines on the tram, in-App and via SMS (Explanation SMS-Ticket).
The zones 100 + 101 are sufficient to get around Brno.
The ticket needs to be validated as soon as you enter the tram/bus, within the time limit you can switch the tram/bus without validating the ticket again.
Prices start at 20 Kč and depend on duration of the ticket and place of purchase.
Electronic Transport Passes:
We recommend: 3-Month Student Ticket
For students under the age of 26, the price is 685 Kč (50% off normal price) and you can buy and renew the ticket online on www.brnoid.cz.
